System Components
The Desigo CC software distribution allows you to custom-install the various management level components.
Extra system connections can be made through systems installed with a Desigo CC Front End Processor (FEP) configuration. In addition, custom-specific set of extensions can also be added for connecting to the various automation level systems.
Desigo CC is a client/server system designed to augment existing building infrastructure and integrate with standard IT hardware, software, and networks. The open and adaptable architecture supports the most common Windows-based IT infrastructures.
Desigo CC allows full server functionality in customer’s virtual IT environments and advanced networks.
The support of remote services such as history databases, Windows App Clients offer a broad variability of deployments to meet project requirements. Larger system installations might include dedicated web or Microsoft SQL database servers.
Desigo CC deployments are tested using state-of-the-art firewalls and network configurations such as IPv4/IPv6 as well as domain configurations and standard software, that is virus scan and malware protection software.
This allows large enterprises and small businesses alike to use Desigo CC in their existing IT environment to manage a building’s infrastructure.
On all the three setup types, Server, Client, and FEP you can only configure a web server after installing and configuring Internet Information Services (IIS). The web server is required to work with Windows App clients.
If your company’s IT department requires the web server to be installed in a separate controlled environment, or it prefers not to use the resources of the system server for IIS tasks, you can also configure the web server on separate, dedicated computer and work with Windows App clients.
