Verify the Integrity of the Installed Extensions

Before upgrading, you must verify the extensions configured in the project that you want to back up.

Perform the following steps:

  1. Open SMC.
  1. In the SMC tree, select Projects node.
  1. In the Projects tree, select the project that you want to back up.
  1. In the Projects Settings tab, open the Extension Information expander and verify the following:
  • Check the configured extensions. Ensure that these are available in the latest software distribution.
  • Check if any extension must be removed. Please check the extension help before upgrading the extension.
  • Check if any extension has data that must be backed up.
    For backing up the extension configurations, for example for backing up the Video extension configuration, refer to the extension Help.
  1. Close SMC.
