Windows Operating System Versions Released on November 8, 2022 or Later

If the update of the operating system was released on November 8, 2022 or later, the DCOM hardening is enabled by default. Consequently:

  • The authentication level for all the non-anonymous activation requests from OPC clients is automatically raised to the minimum requested level, and there is no need to add any registry keys.
  • Anyway, if the following registry keys are already present, they can either be removed or their values must be set as specified below:
