Notifications and Notification Templates

A notification is information about emergency and non-emergency (information, advertisements, and so on) events. You can deliver notifications to the intended recipients. The Notification extension keeps recipients informed during events by sending notifications to devices. Notifications contain the details of an incident. These can be configured as a message.

A notification template contains the information regarding the notification to be sent including incident description, notification type, revision number, priority (for messages), and notification expiry (for messages). Message is a type of Notification.
