[Example] Converting the Output Instructions

You can convert the output instructions of a reaction into a separate macro that you can invoke at any time. For background information, see Reactions and Macros.

  • System Manager is in Engineering mode.
  1. In System Browser, select Application View.
  1. Select Applications > Logics > Reactions > [AutoStrokeCoilValves].
  • The Reaction Editor tab displays.
  1. From the Output expander, open the Action expander.
  1. In the Action expander, click Save As.
  1. When asked if you want to replace the output instructions of the reaction:
  • Click No to leave the reaction unchanged.
  • Click Yes to insert the new macro in place of the original output instructions.
  1. In the Save Object As dialog box, select the main Macros folder or any subfolder under it as the destination where you want to save the new macro:
    a. Enter a Name for the macro.
    b. Click OK.
  • The new macro object is added to System Browser, and is enabled by default.

 

  • To execute this macro, select Applications > Logics > Macros > … > [macro] and in the Operation tab click Execute.
